The brief The Agri-Food Industry Skills Council is one of 11 Industry Skills Councils that provides accurate industry intelligence on current and future skill needs and training requirements in areas such as food, beverage, and pharmaceuticals, rural and related industries, meat processing, seafood and racing. As part of a communications program which focusses on providing reliable information about these industries, Agri-Food were seeking an engaging way to promote careers in their sector and address the skill shortage in specific fields. The solution Through their relationship with SkillsOne, Agri-Food had already created special television packages on "Horticulture Jobs" which aired successfully earlier in 2008. Leveraging this, our team created a branded Agri-Food Skills Channel where SkillsOne users could find all-such topics in one central place, supported by the credibility and focus Agri-Food affords its stakeholders and employers. The results The Agri-Food Channel, featuring 66 videos, was delivered to SkillsOne in order to benefit from the community of users it has established and the focus on industry-by-industry opportunities, while being positioned in a related online environment. The Channel was launched succesfully at the National Conference in September 2008 and Agri-Food will be able to integrate the video channel into its own site as needed. |
