The brief The Institute for Trade Skills Excellence wished to ensure that their investment in SkillsOne benefited from a strong media partnership. Our team was asked to devise ways of sharing content, job search functionality and delivering video to CareerOne. The solution We devised a syndicated model for distributing video content to CareerOne in a style and layout that they required to suit existing CareerOne branding. The result was a co-branded video channel landing page positioned in the CareerOne site, which is managed and updated entirely by SkillsOne's content team. We worked with CareerOne to establish a number of major opportunities for SkillsOne. The first required integration of CareerOne Job Search tools on every major section page. The next involved promoting CareerOne profiles and content which would serve as valuable content for SkillsOne users in its early days, while also driving traffic to CareerOne. The results Our approach has enabled The Institute to build a meaningful news media partnership with News Ltd during the first year of SkillsOne's life. This partnership has generated $16 million worth of media exposure through CareerOne and a large mix of News Ltds 100-odd metropolitan and local newspapers that have featured trade skills articles, SkillsOne stories and print advertisements around Australia.
